The class will allow you to experiment with a variety of materials which will let you find which tools may come most naturally to you and how to retrain your eye to draw accurately. Kid's Classes

This year August House Studios continues to offer REAL art classes for children between the ages of 5 and 14. With a concentration on specific art related topics (such as portraits or animals) explored through different media (drawing, painting, block printing, mixed media, scratch art, etc.), each session presents a rich opportunity for stimulating the inner artist in each child. Sketch books are provided for developing and accumulating notes and ideas on each project and technique. Each class is 1 1/2 hours long and the cost includes all materials and a small snack. August House takes pride in its teachers who are working artists and (for the children's classes and camp) mothers. Our teachers have degrees in art or design and years of experience working with children in classrooms and community projects.
